We held a workshop during the Art Club at Svartedalsskolan as part of their theme, "The Body". The workshop aimed to explore and discuss how our bodies move through space and how we use them to engage in different outdoor activities.
We brought printed photographs of various outdoor environments around Gothenburg and invited the children to choose from a selection of action words. They then selected a photograph and used tracing paper to draw the action they had chosen onto the image.
The children illustrated people swimming, relaxing, sitting, walking, feeding animals, and standing by the seashore ready to go for a swim.
We focused on the action words the children selected and how they represented people's bodies in relation to the different environments and spaces.
